Kanae Orisaki (織崎 香奈枝, Orisaki Kanae) was Seiichi Kugi's girlfriend in middle school on Sado Island.
She was verbally and physically abused by her stepfather growing up (her sister Manami Orisaki describes it as "he used to beat her ragged"), and to escape, she spent every moment she could out of the house and with Seiichi (who was ignorant of the abuse).

With Seiichi Kugi, Kanae is a rambunctious and stubborn girl and she is used to getting her way.
Chronology[]
On August 18, 2014, she forced Seiichi to accompany her to the bridge that connects Sado and Niigata, likely planning to never return home. There, the two were accidentally caught up in a shootout, and Kanae was fatally hit by a stray bullet from a large caliber handgun. The bullet ruptured her side, exposing some of her innards. Seiichi put her out of her misery by shooting her himself.

- The name Kanae means "fragrance, fragrant" (香) (ka), "apple tree" (奈) (na) and "branch" (枝) (e).
- Kanae's surname Orisaki means "weave, weaving" (織) (ori) and "cape, peninsula" (崎) (saki).
